If you watched Seinfeld during it's tenure on television, lived during the 90's, or pay any attention to pop-culture references, then you have heard the quote “No soup for you!” from the so-called “Soup Nazi” from the popular sitcom Seinfeld. The Soup Nazi or the Soupman supposedly made the most delicious soup in existence but was quite temperamental about the rules regulating his soup restaurant.
Well, the Soupman is not a completely fictional character after all—his name is Al Yeganah, and he is not as temperamental as depicted on the show, you needn't follow arcane rules in the soup line or risk banishment. Al Yeganah opened the original soup shop, Soup Kitchen International, in 1984 and still runs it to this day. Through his efforts at Soup Kitchen International, Al Yeganah set the standard for delicious, world-renowned soups. Now there is an original Soupman restaurant in Minneapolis, with all of the same ingredients, soups, and service. The Twin Cities Soupman brings to Minnesota the same delicious tastes and commitment to excellence that the original Soup Kitchen International showcased. To bring these amazing soups to hungry customers in Minnesota, Soupman has expanded into the Twin Cities to satisfy their needs.
